Catinét has been one of Denmark’s leading full service market research institutes since 1997. It is the company behind the
analysis technology Catglobe, which streamlines and enhances the applicability of research at the client’s end. The concept
is known as CEM Intelligence and encompasses continuous collection and reporting of social-, business cycle-, market- and
customer data.
As part of the expansion of CEM Intelligence, Catinét has chosen to outsource all of its fieldwork to Norstat as of 1. October
2009 in a 5-year contract which includes handing over the company’s fieldwork department in Svendborg, Denmark, to Norstat,
along with Catinét’s 85.000 member telephone recruited Nordic internet panel. The panel will be merged with Norstat’s existing
panel. Combined, the panels will constitute the largest telephone recruited panel in the Nordic region consisting of 350.000
panelists.
Catinét’s founder and CEO Christian Stjer is pleased with the agreement with Norstat:
“Catinét has screened the market in search of a Nordic fieldwork provider which represents the same level of quality and efficiency
that Catinét has practiced since 1997. The choice was simple: The research company Norstat, which has specialized in interviewing
and which has a strong presence in all of the Nordics, the Baltic States and Poland. Our cooperation means that we can now
streamline and optimize the usability and applicability of our research with our clients. We look forward to expand CEM Intelligence
throughout the Nordics and to a close cooperation with Norstat as provider of fieldwork, which will continue to be quality
controlled and implemented through our analysis system Catglobe.”
Jesper Platz, managing director of Norstat Denmark, is very content with the agreement:
“Catinét has been one of our toughest competitors in the Danish market, throughout our existence, and it is a competitor for
which I have the greatest respect. By this agreement, Norstat will strengthen its presence on the Danish market through increased
capacity and competence, to the benefit of both Norstat’s and Catinét’s clients. By merging Catinét’s and Norstat’s panels
we are creating a unique product together in a Nordic context and we will be able to carry through even the most demanding
projects.”
Catinét is fully Danish owned and is a strong alternative to the international research institutes. Catinét has specialized
in Lean and in streamlining analysis and in July 2009, the company acquired Danish IFKA (Institute for Business Cycle Analysis).
The company employs 27 consultants and IT engineers in Denmark and 46 IT engineers in Vietnam.
Norstat becomes the largest specialized provider of data collection in Europe, operating in the Nordics, the Baltics and Poland.
The company has app. 2000 employees, a total revenue of 204 MNOK (23,94 MEUR) in 2008 and owns the largest telephone recruited
internet panel in the region, consisting of app. 350.000 panelists.
